Tanah Lot

Bali, known as "The Island of God ", "Devil Island", "Romans Island", "Island of Lai", "Paradise Island", "Magic Island", and so on. More than a thousand kilometers from the capital city Jakarta, is the world famous tourist resort, with its charming natural scenery and custom of the world famous. The island is large, about five thousand square kilometres, population of about 24,700,000, and 80 percent of the people is Hinduism, the only Hindu region in Indonesia. Ample sunshine round the year, dry weather half and wet half, the main economic is agriculture, rice, corn, coconut and coffee, production mostly in the form of collective cooperation. The island residents have nearly 200 religious festivals in a year, great number of tourists from all over the world, so that tourists also become a landscape. Most of tourists come from Europe and America. Then Australian, Singaporean, Malaysian, Korean, the Chinese have only come in recent years. Europeans and Americans usually do surfing, basking in the sun. Chinese tourists usually come in groups, apply sunscreen, catch sight spots, take photos, shop, and enjoy seafood.

Today we went out to view Bedugul, a mountain lake area, which placed in the central of Bali Island. Before, Bratan was a very large volcano, about 23,000 years ago, after volcanic eruption, the pass collapsed about 11 km long x 6 km wide, after ten thousand years of rain accumulated, appeared three beautiful volcanic lakes, Lake Bratan, Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. The whole volcano area is what people called Bedugul.

Tanah Lot is placed in the southwest coast of the island, called the temple of the sea, the temple was built on a huge stone on the shore, a place for the Balinese to pay homage to the sea god. Whenever the tide rises, it becomes an island, the temples in the waves just like a palace, and if the sun sinks, the waves roar, the most spectacular. When we arrived at the time after the ebb, we saw that the temple was connected to the land, only about a few tens of meters, was not far away. Scattered everywhere are tourists, a strong and handsome Indian young man is taking wedding photos, the same as China.

Unfortunately, the weather was late when we arrived at Jimbaran Beach because of a long way and traffic jam, so the sunset scenery had been missed. However, we saw a row of dinning and coffee shops there. Through a long and narrow dining hall, a huge scene followed. The beach was endless, which was covered with the dining tables blinking with oil lamps and with no empty seats. All seemed so dense and homogeneous, high and extensive. Full with the tourists from Europe, USA and Indonesia, they didn't make any noise. The diners were dressed colourfully and the waiters shuttled and served carefully. The horizon was still hanging a touch of sunset, the night seemed covered by the mist, and light sea waves sound were heard. The smell of the delicious seafoods were mixed with the smell of cigar and coffee, this scene was really like a golden dream world.
